Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you use the Veda Software website.

These Terms of Use set out the rules for accessing and using this website and its content. They cover website content, acceptable use, intellectual property, links to other sites and the limits of information published here. They are not service terms: the terms of any client engagement are agreed separately, per project, in writing.

01 · Who we are

The business behind this website.

This website, vedasoftware.co.uk, is operated by Veda Software (“we”, “us”, “our”), a UK software development company and part of the Veda group. Our office is at 13–15 Enterprise Centre, Cottingham Road, Hull, East Yorkshire, HU6 7RX. Registered company details: available on request.

You can contact us about these terms at hello@vedaai.co.uk.

02 · Agreement to these terms

Using the site means accepting them.

By accessing or using this website you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website. These terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we handle personal information and cookies.

03 · Website content and information

Informational content, not advice.

The content on this website — including service descriptions, case studies and articles — is provided for general information about Veda Software and its work. It is not professional, technical, legal or financial advice, and it does not constitute an offer capable of acceptance.

We work to keep the website accurate and current, but we make no warranties or representations, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy or reliability of its informational content, and we may change it at any time without notice. Any reliance you place on website content is at your own risk; decisions about software projects should be made on the basis of a specific, scoped conversation, not general website copy.

04 · Intellectual property

Who owns what is on this site.

Unless stated otherwise, the content of this website — including text, design, graphics, logos, brand marks and page layouts — is owned by or licensed to Veda Software and is protected by intellectual property law.

  • You may view, download and print pages for your own internal business use, including evaluating whether to work with us.
  • You may not reproduce, republish or redistribute website content commercially without our prior written permission.
  • You may not use the Veda name, logo or brand assets without our prior written permission.
  • Nothing in these terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

For clarity: these terms deal only with the content of this website. Intellectual property in software we build for clients is dealt with in the written agreement for that engagement.

05 · Acceptable use

Use the site lawfully and fairly.

When using this website you agree not to:

  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its infrastructure or any connected systems or data
  • Introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material
  • Probe, scan or test the website for vulnerabilities without our written permission
  • Scrape, harvest or bulk-extract content or data from the website by automated means
  • Submit false, misleading or abusive material through our forms, or use them to send spam
  • Interfere with the website’s operation or degrade other visitors’ use of it

We may suspend or restrict access to the website where we reasonably believe these terms are being breached.

06 · Third-party links

Beyond our website.

This website links to third-party websites, including other Veda group sites and external services. These links are provided for convenience and information. We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms or how they handle your data. A link does not imply endorsement.

07 · Enquiries and engagement terms

Project terms are agreed per project.

Submitting an enquiry through this website, or having an initial conversation with us, does not create a contract for services. It creates a conversation.

The terms of any client engagement — scope, deliverables, fees, timelines, intellectual property in deliverables, confidentiality and everything else that matters — are agreed per project in a separate written agreement before work begins. If anything in that agreement conflicts with these website terms, the written agreement governs the engagement.

08 · Availability and liability

What we do, and do not, promise.

We aim to keep the website available and working well, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free from harmful components, and we may suspend, withdraw or change it without notice.

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or reliance on its informational content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

09 · Governing law

England and Wales, by agreement.

These Terms of Use, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the use of this website, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

10 · Changes and contact

Kept current, and how to reach us.

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be shown on this page, with the review date updated accordingly. Continued use of the website after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
